Experience
I received my bachelor's degree from Florida State University, with majors in International Affairs (emphasis in Economics) and Italian. After working for a time with a non-profit organization, I went back to school and obtained a Master of Arts in Italian Literature from the University of Virginia (UVA). While working toward my master's, I taught introductory Italian classes at UVA. During that same period, I tutored undergraduate students. In the process, I discovered that I am passionate about enabling students to achieve their academic goals and expand their knowledge. I believe that students learn better when they feel comfortable expressing themselves and asking questions, so I endeavor to create an environment of trust and confidence. I particularly enjoy working with students in Italian, English, Literature, Writing, and Public Speaking. I have significant writing and editing experience at the collegiate level, which equips me to assist students with most writing courses and projects. When I'm not working, I like to cook, read, work out, and spend time with my family and friends. I also enjoy traveling.
