Hobbies

Hi! My name is Sonia (as you've probably already inferred from the name next to my picture). I just moved to Philadelphia for university and am extremely excited to get involved in helping younger students in school. My dad works in education and instilled in me very early just how important it was that kids don't feel left behind or like they aren't good at something just because they don't understand it on the first try. I believe that most students capacity for understanding is much much greater than they themselves think and that this notion can be dispelled quickly once a teacher/ tutor understands how a student learns. As I mentioned above, I am a freshman who recently moved to Philadelphia from Washington, D.C.. When I'm not in school, I am generally involved in some sort of theatre production either through acting or directing. In my free time I like to read, write, hike, run, rock climb, and dance terribly.
